Hello and Welcome to the Canopy Kickstarter!
We are funded! We're making this game! Hip Hip Hooray!
Thank you so much for joining our campaign and making this rainforest grow so fast! It is alive and buzzing with excitement and there are lots of surprises waiting in the jungle. We have been working on this game for the last year and a half and are very excited to share it with you all.
Stretch Goals
Now that we have met our funding goal we are excited to grow the campaign even more and add new content and component upgrades to the game! This campaign is off to a lively and raucous start so without further ado let me introduce the Hoatzin, our first stretch goal.
Hoatzin
This strange and singular bird, also known as the "punk rock bird" is here to liven up your game of Canopy. The active Hoatzin's ability reads "Once per Season, you may keep 1 pile of cards you draw face-down until end of Season."
A key part of the strategy in Canopy is knowing what cards your opponent is looking for so you can evalaute if they will take a New Growth pile if you pass on it. The Hoatzin's ability can be really useful to keep the other player in the dark about what cards you are waiting to add to your tableau.

One of the best parts of working on this game has been collaborating with Vincent Dutrait, whose artwork we have admired in so many other games. He has done a magnificent job bringing the vibrant colors of the rainforest to life in the game. To help spread the word, share his incredible art, and lively up your social media we have created avatars with the Wildlife from Canopy.
